ORGANIZATIONAL PRAYER

Oh Lord – we ask your blessing on the occasion of the formation of our 545 th MP Co Association. It is a great a joyous day that we can bring together all the troopers of the 545 th Military Police Company who served so honorably and gallantly from WW II through the present day. We pray that each day more and more of our lost friends find their way back to us and rediscover fellowship and camaraderie as they did in days gone by.

We also beseech you Oh Lord to watch over our family of Military Policemen and protect them no matter where they serve or reside. And Lord – no matter what their beliefs or denominations we ask your blessing for all our fallen comrades in arms.

May God bless this association, the members of the 545 th Military Police Company (past and present), the Armed Forces of the United and most of all – God Bless the United States of America

 AMEN

Hurricane Katrina Disaster Prayer

Heavenly Father – We approach You today because You have called us to be a people of prayer.

We praise you, give thanks to you and ask your blessing in all things.

Lord – there are presently two platoons of former 545 th Military Policemen in New Orleans on Disaster Relief Operations with the 1 st Cavalry Brigade Combat Teams and we beseech thee to watch over them, give them guidance and strength to provide protection and assistance to all of those who are trapped in their homes, without food and water and in need of transportation, medical assistance and comfort.

We acknowledge our great need for you as our brothers and sisters on active duty with the 1 st Cavalry Military Police conduct their daily operations and we ask your protection for them.

We pray – Oh Lord – that weather our fellow active duty MP's are securing an area, patrolling the streets, or helping someone in distress, that you guide them to be men and women of integrity who can be counted on to do the right thing – always.

Give them the strength to stand for what is right and to oppose those who would do harm to those in need or to our Great Nation and the people they serve.

Dear Lord – we also ask that you watch over and protect the families of our MP's while they are away from home as well as the families of all other relief workers who have so unselfishly given of their time and personal assets.

We pray Oh Lord for those poor souls who have lost their lives in the terrible disaster and ask that you take them to your side in your Kingdom in Heaven and further that those who have lost everything may find hope and goals for their future.

Guide our Military Policemen and women now, Father, by giving them the wisdom and knowledge from on high, that as Military Police, they will be prepared to Assist, Protect and Defend.

We ask your blessing in all this in the name of Jesus – AMEN

545th MP Co.
Deactivation Prayer

All-powerful and ever-living God, when Abraham left his native land and departed from his people you kept him safe through all his journeys.  Protect these departing 545th Military Policemen as our beloved “First Teams Finest” is deactivated.  Protect these soldiers as they travel to new assignments, new lands and even possibly in harms way.  Be their constant companion and their strength.  God – we pray that you would give them safety and strength to complete their new missions and that you would give them courage and enthusiasm to work as a team as they did in the 545th to keep our nation safe from evil doers and terrorists.  We pray that your Angels surround them always – where ever they may be.  Guide them, O Lord that they may arrive at their new assignments safely.

We ask this though Christ our Lord

AMEN

Thanksgiving Day Prayer

Heavenly Father,

We come to you on this Thanksgiving to offer our prayers of thanks for the many blessings you have bestowed upon us this past year.

Although we in many parts of this country have experienced turbulent times you have continued to pour out your grace and tender mercies.

We give thanks for the many Americans who have answered their countries call to arms putting aside their own dreams and goals. We ask that you guide and protect them in their duties where ever it may take them.

We as always are grateful for those who stand their post during the holidays. Our comrades of the 545th Military Police Company were no different. Through war and peace they carried out their many duties bringing honor not only upon themselves but the 1st Cavalry Division and the US Army.

We pray that you will remember them, watch over them and keep them and their families in your loving protection.

We ask for your continued guidance for our leaders and mercy and protection on this country.

Lord, we can only offer our most heartfelt thanks for the many blessings in our lives. May we take time this Thanksgiving to remember and may we never forget to honor Him through which all these things were possible.

In the name of Jesus we humbly pray, Amen.

CHRISTMAS PRAYER

Most Gracious Heavenly Father,

We come before you to give our thanks for the blessings on this past year. We thank you for your boundless mercy and grace. We thank you for the love and forgiveness that is shown to us time after time.

This holiday season may we always remember the true meaning of Christmas. For no matter what modern man may say, Christmas is the celebration of the birth of your one and only son, our Saviour, Jesus Christ.

Through Him we have hope in the world. May we never forget.

Lord we also ask that you protect our troops wherever they are serving. It is during this time of year that separation from family and friends is most keenly felt. Please keep them safe in your loving protection.

We also ask that you would remember our comrades of the 545th Military Police Company. Please watch over them and their families and keep them in your grace as well.

We ask that you continue to guide our leaders and our nation through this difficult period. May we always find comfort in your Holy Word.

We ask these things in the name of Jesus,

Amen
